THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED
Congratulations to Lindsay @ Turning the Pages, winner of the prize pack below!
That’s right. In ONE MONTH, SMALL MEDIUM AT LARGE will hit Canadian shelves and I think that is cause for great celebration. So, if you are CANADIAN (you lovely U.S. folks will have your chance next week, don’t worry) you are eligible to win the prize pack below:
This prize pack contains: Gretzky, the sock monkey, an author-made friendship bracelet with a Ouija board charm, a signed bookmark and a personalized-to-you signed postcard. Yes, signed by me. I asked Gretzky, but he’s apparently too cool to sign stuff.
So, you want to win? All you have to do is BE CANADIAN and leave a comment below, telling me what your plans are for July 1. If you tell me you’re getting ready for your 4th of July picnic, I’ll know you’re not Canadian! You have until 11:59 Eastern on Tuesday, May 29 to enter.
Got it? And GO!
I am Canadian!
I think my plans for July 1st are to check out the fireworks with the beau at Ontario Place. Probably will include street meat and a Timmy’s iced capp. Great contest! 🙂
That is such a Canadian answer – I love it! You’ve been entered, Jess – thanks for playing!
I’ll be making the drive from Niagara back home and shall be battling the traffic going North. It’s a typical weekend adventure for cottagers, and those who have parents who live at the Southern end of cottage country 🙂 Of course, I will be partaking in fireworks in my small town. Hope to see some old friends and hang out with my family. And like Jess, I’m sure an iced capp or two will be had as well!
Sounds awesome, Kaley! I hope you enjoy and thanks for entering.
Hello Joanne!
Excellent giveaway, the sock monkey is adorable and I can’t wait for the launch party!
My plans for July 1st:
I believe I’m actually going to be up at Wasaga Beach at the boyfriend’s brother’s cottage for the weekend with his family. We usually head up a few times during the summer (and sometimes fall and winter). I always look forward to heading up there from Toronto, it’s a wonderful break from the downtown Toronto chaos and it gives me a chance to relax under the sun with a good book or take a quick swim (bonus that there’s a Real Canadian Super Store nearby the cottage and they sell brand new titles for 25% off. Hurray for discounted novels!)
Happy reading and thanks for the amazing giveaway, Joanne!
~Wendy
Hi Wendy! I haven’t been to Wasaga in a while, but remember it as being a fun and relaxing place. I’m sure you’ll have a good time READING (maybe those sporty books, hmmm?). Thanks for playing and retweeting about the contest!
My July 1st plans include calling my little bro and wishing him a happy birthday! Lucky him, always a birthday with fireworks. Definitely a stop at Tim Horton’s and a lovely pile of books on the deck to read. Also looking forward to a few weeks of Summer School with a group of lucky middle school students.
Hi Elvina, thanks for stopping by to enter the contest. Oh your lucky brother! And Tim’s – what could be more Canadian?!
Haha love the name of the sock monkey! Happy one-more-month!! 😀
July 1st, I’ll be enjoying some reading, hopefully sitting out on a patio enjoying a pint of Canadian! (or some other delicious Canadian beer) 😛
Aw, thanks Michele! That sounds like a great Canada day plan! Thanks for stopping by!
Love the sock monkey!!
This will be my first Canada day in Toronto so I think I will take part in whatever crazy festivities happen here. Also there may be sitting out on my back deck with beer and friends. 🙂
Both of those events sound good, Christa – sort of a good balance of crazy festivities and chilling out. Thanks for stopping by.
Ummmmmm….. I’d say chill out and read by the sun. AND swim. We never really celebrate July 1st here, in QC :S Well, in my family we don’t!
Also… lurve the cover 😀

Chilling out, reading and swimming all sound like good activities to me! Thanks, Cathee!
Usually my hubby and I are road-tripping to Alberta on Canada Day, but this year we’ll actually be home! We’ll likely fire up the BBQ and have some friends over … and try to find somewhere that’s letting off fireworks later in the evening!
BBQ and Fireworks – sounds great to me! Thanks for coming by and entering the contest, Melissa!
We are doing the second annual gong-show homemade fireworks display in the park! LOL You laugh but it’s really a disaster of a fireworks show but we all have a great time! Oh, and of course a BBQ to start off the night and likely some swimming! We have very special Canada Day hats too! 😉 Thanks for the giveaway!! 🙂
I’m not laughing, I’m jealous! That all sounds like so much fun, Lindsay! Thanks for coming by and entering the giveaway.
I’ll be heading to Bayfront park for the fireworks- they always put on an amazing show. My favourite part will be walking out past all the people stuck trying to drive out of the parking lot in one big mass- happens every year!
Ha! We live near Princess Point, so we can see most of it from our backyard – no parking snarl for us, either! Thanks for coming by!
We dress in red and have a backyard BBQ party
I love the backyard BBQ- and dressing in red is very Canadian! Thanks for coming by and entering, Melissa!
We have a party with our neighbours complete with fireworks, and Canadian Living’s Canada Day cake – the one with strawberries 🙂
Hey Christina! That sounds like fun – and that cake! I see it every year and swear one day I’m going to make it. Maybe I’ll just come over to your place and have some. 😉
Block party with your parents!
Or, alternately, sleep in till noon only to be woken by a very angry kitty, then sit on my patio with a good book. Perhaps, even, YOUR book!
Ha, the sleep till noon option sounds better. 😀
I’ll either be at Bayfront Park or Spencer Smith Park with my wee girl to watch the ‘fire-flowers’! LOL
‘Fire-flowers’! Love it! Thanks for stopping by, Christina!
YAY! Dances around my office!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I have sent you an email with all my info! xx
